What's the synthetic data on /preview?
The /preview page shows a fully populated FloorRadar dashboard so you can see the workflow without signing up. Every number on it is fictional.
Why fictional?
If we used real data on a public preview page, we'd be exposing one specific operator's NTI, competitor performance, and deal pipeline to anyone with the URL. That's not a fair burden to put on whichever venue the data came from.
So the preview shows Acme Bar & Grill in Oakridge, IL — both names are made up. The numbers (NTI, funds in, VGT count, competitor comparisons) are realistic-but-fictional, modeled on the distribution of real IL VGT venues but not derived from any specific one.
What the preview is for
- See the four core tabs (Dashboard, Local Market, Opportunities, Deals) in action
- Walk through a realistic operator workflow without signing up
- Show a colleague or partner what the tool does
What the preview ISN'T for
- Looking up a specific real venue (use search after signup for that)
- Understanding competitor benchmarks for your municipality (claim your venue — see real comparisons)
- Pulling NTI numbers for your own analysis (the preview numbers are fictional)
How do I get real data?
Sign up for the free Lite tier and claim your venue. Once approved, your dashboard switches from synthetic to real — your venue's actual NTI, your real competitors, your real opportunities. No card required.
Why this matters for trust
Some products use real customer data on public marketing pages. We don't, because the moment you ship that, it's hard to un-ship. The synthetic-preview pattern means anyone who signs up knows their data isn't going to end up as someone else's marketing material.
